This year just keeps getting to be a very big one for South African entertainers. We have Cassper Nyovest cleaning up at award shows and Bonang Matheba basically taking over the world.
Now Noluthando Meje, who's also known as Nolly Nollz, has scored herself a TV hosting gig on SABC 1. The Isidingo actress and singer will be proving links and interviewing hopefuls when auditions kick off in Johannesburg at Bassline on Saturday, 14 March.
The Sing off SA is the channel's first talent show dedicated to acapella and will air on the first week of May.
Speaking about her new gig, Nolly said: "I'm really looking forward to the amazing talent that we are going to discover. I love singing and anyone who knows me will tell you that harmonizing is my thing. I can't wait to hear the many voices coming together in perfect harmony."
The winning group will wak away with a cash prize of R250 000 and a Sony recording contract.

I'm so happy for Nolly because her star is rising. She's doing well on Isidingo, a soapie she's always watched. She explained to TVSA: "The odd thing is that when I got to Jo'burg in 2012, I kept e-mailing Karin van der Laag (Isidingo's casting director and Maggie). I was like, 'Hey, Karen, this is my CV, I've done Idols, I've done this and that, I'd really love to be on Isidingo. If there's any part, please can you consider my CV and contact me for an audition?' Then, two years later, I got a call for an audition via my agent and ja, I'm there now."
Wow, doesn't that just sound like fate? Nolly Nolz is on a mission to slay this industry!
