Generally, Hip hop is known as a bragging sport. A rapper's crib, whip, cheese (money) and hierarchy order in the industry is vital for street cred.
Some fans of these rappers are always eager to catch a glimpse of their lifestyles.
Fairly successful and accomplished rapper and music producer Maraza is one of the artist's that many believe is living a pretty comfortable life.
However, a recent video that the Gwan hit-maker shared on social media shed a different light into the material world of his reality. But this is how the whole thing started.
Jumping on the trending subject surrounding the xenophobic attacks in the country, Maraza stated that celebrities aren't doing much regarding the issue.
He further mentioned that some of these celebrities are not in touch with what's happening at ground level.
A twitter user, @ Candrigeson Dia then responded to Maraza by mentioning that he's not that different from those celebrities he was referring to, as he(assumed) lives in a fancy penthouse and has guards to protect him.
Maraza was clearly bothered by this perception. The Kwa Zulu Natal born star then posted a video of his "regular" crib. Which dispelled all notions of him living it up.
Tweeps obviously chimed in.
