Actress Rami Chuene has scored herself another role in one of Mzansi's top shows. Rami will be portraying the character of Manoko Ledwaba in the second season of SABC 2's popular drama series Giyani: Land of Blood.
The series' 2nd season is set to premiere next month on a new slot on Thursdays and Fridays at 9 pm starting from the 1st of November.
Programme manager Jacqui Hlongwane told Daily Sun that the second season is coming with more drama.
“Building on the success of the first season, the second one returns with more drama, intrigue, and an action-packed storyline that will have viewers glued to their screens.
"Not only can they look forward to seeing their favourite characters back, but SABC is delighted to announce that Rami will join season 2 – life will never be the same again in Giyani for sure,” Hlongane told the publication.
Last month, Rami announced that she has bagged a presenting gig on Mzansi magic. She is a host of a new reality TV show titled 'Away for Repair' alongside life coach Romeo Mabasa.
Sharing the exciting news on her social media platforms, Rami said she is looking forward to the journey. "Listen! Listen! Listen!!! This is one of the coolest things I’ve done. A reality show with a heart. I can’t wait for you to walk this journey with us. I’m the host, together with @maromza. It will be a different kind of reality when the reality is really real. Starting on 7 October on @mzansimagic brought to you by @sanparks," she wrote on Instagram.
The show "showcases the heartfelt stories of ordinary people taking much-needed time away to mend broken bonds".
SANParks Managing Executive: Tourism Development and Marketing Hapiloe Sello said: “Away for Repair, will treat viewers to an emotional roller-coaster as four teams of two undergo a relationship boot camp against the spectacular backdrops of seven of South Africa’s prime National Parks”.
"Through this series, we will be showcasing the diversity of our parks to the Mzansi Magic audience as well as the range of fun and educational activities available in these destinations. We also felt it important to emphasize the value of spending time in nature on emotional wellbeing – how the National Parks are places to escape to reconnect and revitalize hence the relationship boot camp theme"
According to SANPARKS, the cast will travel from the mysteries of Southern Africa’s first ancient African Kingdom in the Mapungubwe National Park to the rugged coastline and deep forested gorges of the Tsitsikamma National Park through to the iconic Kruger National Park.
