Actor and TV presenter Phila Mazibuko has made his return to the SABC's screens. The actor recently announced that he has joined one of Mzansi's top soapies.
Phila is the new cast member of Generations The Legacy.

He took to Instagram to share the news and also introduce his new character. The former Muvhango star will be playing the role of Dingane on the show.

"Introducing Dingani Ndlovu!!! Hope you enjoy his mission," he wrote.

Fans are already looking forward to Phila's new role on the show. They took to the comments sections to congratulate him.

Sbuluke responded: "Congratulations so looking forward."
Sazi Joz: "So happy for you. Congratulations."
Phila did not divulge too much about his new character. However, we are happy to witness his return to the big screens.

Phila previously told ZAlebs that he has been busy with his music and acting career.

He most recently starred on MTV's Shuga as DJ Coalstove. Talking about his role, he said he was happy to be part of an international production.

"As much as it's a local production, I still feel that MTV Shuga is as much of an international production as well. It's broadcast in over 139 channels worldwide, so for me, it's something major and for me to be a part of it is a blessing. Big up South Africa, we're finally moving forward."

Describing his character, he said DJ Coalstoave is a sucker for love and a genuine human being.

"Without divulging too much about my character, what I can say is that he's a very genuine person. When he tackles something, he puts his whole heart into it, he loves passionately, the same goes when he's angry. So I think a lot of people will relate to him because he's as real as they come," he said.

Phila also then told us that he was working on a new feature movie and also working on venturing into radio.

"I'm currently working on a single, I'm also shooting a feature movie, we've actually started filming already.

"So I've been filming short films, I've also been doing theatre work and I'm trying my very best to get onto radio because it's something I'm very passionate about."

Phila has also been working tirelessly behind the scenes as a director and also doing his music performances. A few days ago, he shared one of the projects that he has been working on. "I love directing these guys," he wrote on Instagram.
