Actress And TV presenter Thembisa Nxumalo has expressed her gratitude, thanking her husband for supporting her during her stay in hospital.
Thembisa spent a few weeks in hospital after she was admitted for long COVID-19.
Taking to Instagram to pen a heartwarming message for her husband, she said she married an incredible man. She also shared that her husband was by her side every day when she was in hospital.
"Regardless of all the 1000002 things he had to. I can’t begin to explain what it was like not being able to see my babies but seeing his face kept me going," she wrote.
She added: "With a constant smile, a joke here and there, videos of the kids and constantly reminding me that everything will be okay❤️🥺. You are not only the love of my life but my peace too.
"I wish I could whisk you away on a special vacay so you can breathe easy. Lie on a hammock and just relax🥰. You deserve that peace of mind."
Industry friends and fans took to the comments section to react to her post, MQ The Director responded: "Thembs my love-this is incredible. You guys are so right for each other. I’m so happy that you are happy mngani wami. You deserve it."
Thembisa got discharged last week. Phil Mphela shared the news on Twitter: "Thembisa Nxumalo has left hospital She has been discharged and recovering at home from a brave fight with long Covid. Thembisa took ill in April and was in and out of the Morningside and Sandton MediClinics."
The entertainment commentator also shared a statement from Thembisa and her family. The actress thanked her family and colleagues for the support.
"I was in hospital on and off for 2 months before spending a full month. It has been a frightening time. I am thankful to the specialists that monitored me carefully, who were able to diagnose me and treat me carefully."
She said she did some research through her experiences and she vows to be the best COVID patience when she finally returns to work. She added that beating COVID is a blessing.
"We have witnessed so many shocking deaths from this pandemic and I do not take it for granted that I pulled through. To be able to leave the hospital and go straight home is a blessing I do not take for granted.
"Thank you for all your love and prayers, you will never fully know how much they meant to me and my family."
