In addition to treating the media to an exclusive first listen to his latest album, Touch My Blood, earlier this week, rapper AKA also previewed a short documentary that his team had complied to accompany the project.
In it, AKA explains the meaning behind the phrase 'Touch My Blood' as well as what went into the production for one of the most anticipated projects in South African hip-hop this year.
The doccie features visuals of AKA and his team in the studio and at home during the making of the album. He worked with the likes of JR, Kwesta, Master A-Flaft and more in the making of an album that he says aptly captures the growth he has gone through as a man over the past few years.
His album dropped today at exactly midnight and has been trending all day.
Fans already have stand out favourites on the album, including tracks like Fela In Versace, Touch My Blood, Magriza, Jika and Reset.
