Zikhona pens a heartfelt tribute

It has been 3 months since actress and singer Zikhona Sodlaka was blessed with a baby boy. The new mom took to her Instagram to celebrate three months of her baby’s life. She said these have been the best months of her life.

In her lengthy heart-warming caption, Zikhona said raising a son is an honor for her and her family.

“It has been an incredible time I have been having. Full of tears, uncertainty, immense joy, confidence, and self-doubt at the same damn time. I Didn't know I can pray so hard! Raising a son in times like these is an honor for me, his father, and our entire families.” 

She thanked her baby boy for making her a proud mom and for healing her wounds.
“You have ticked all the cliche boxes tshomam, the too much love for you, thank you for giving me a new fresh perspective on life. Thank u for making me unafraid to look silly and childish. Thank u for healing my wounds, for forcing me to work out ke ngoku Yesu. Ndikuthanda into endeeee and Happy 3 years of alive Xhanti lam. Siphumile efukwini”
Last month Zikhona announced that she has given birth, sharing beautiful snaps of her son on Instagram She said she is certain that her life will never be the same again.

She wrote: "Every now and then...when you have the nerve or the confidence to take a moment and look at your life... so you stop.... and there it is! Your life as you've lived it before this very moment and you know beyond any doubt that things will never ever be the same again. This right here is one of those very moments!

“I am so super proud of the 19-year-old Zikhona 16 years ago, wet behind the ears who entered this art form I love so much that has opened so many doors for me. And here's to getting to know the 35-year-old woman who is at the beginning of something new and wet behind the ears in this parenting thing too."

She also spoke about her body changes and asked God to give her the right armor for her new journey.

“I have earned all my silver stripes, all of them...iinyawo zindo daka! May God and all the angels I've inherited carry us through and equip me with the correct armor for new wars and new wins Makwande. I Salut all rural moms in the city,” she said.
