Another and more conspiracy theories over the tragic passing of AKA are being circulated. Since Sunday, 12 February 2023, when the CCTV footage of the moments before AKA was slain outside the Wish restaurant in Florida Road, Morningside, Durban was leaked. There have been conspiracy theories galore as to the sequence of events.

First, it was the less-conspiracy-more-fact that AKA’s murder was not an accident and was a hit on the legendary rapper. However, the real conspiracies started when the public aimed to use the shared footage of the events leading to the murders of AKA and friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane. 

This is as the likes of clout-chasing personalities like Nota have used the passing of the legendary rapper to again gain clout with the public. However, while this conspiracy theory is not fueled by Nota, it still has the bizarre ideation of a lack of sensitisation by many social media users.  

If Tibz lived, would he be an accomplice? 

In light of the passing of AKA due to what is believed to be a hit on the rapper following his return to the city after two years since the passing of KZN-native and customary wife, Anele “Nellie” Tembe. It seems that the passing of Tibz is a matter which is mostly kept as an afterthought. 
However, friends like comedian Loyiso Gola have used their social media platforms for the past few days to ensure that Tibz is remembered and honoured as much as AKA is. 
But since there have been numerous conspiracy theories surrounding the death of AKA and Tibz, it seems that it has also now implicated him too. This comes off the back of the allegations that the person responsible for delivering the fatal shot was a woman due to their body structure. 
As this matter was circulated, the extension of this conspiracy theory was that “the man” hugging AKA saw the woman coming and was intending to distract AKA with the hug. But it only took a few seconds for tweeps to highlight that “the man” in question was Tibz, who also lost his life. 
The continued paddling of conspiracy theories will seemingly be because of many friends of both late personalities find it even more difficult to move on. Like close friend and DJ, Don Design, who must be going through the most because due to Nota’s rants, he has been thought of as a suspect in the killing of his two friends.

Don Design has been accused specifically of conspiracy with the manner assumed to be involved in the assassination of the slain rapper. A conspiracy that outside of AKA’s close circle seems to believe. 

A fact that insiders who knew the dynamic of Don Design and AKA’s friendship have whole-heartedly come out to stand by Don Design and attempt to disparage these unfounded and seemingly damaging accusations. More so as Don Design has seemingly all but disappeared from social media since the tragic events of Friday, 10 February 2023.
