Babes in her recent post shared a “the beginning” and “the now” slide of her relationship with Mampintsha. The Queen of Gqom music in the past has been open about dating the Big Nuz alumni member for what will be 13 years this year. So when doing the maths; Babes Wodumo is turning 27 years old this year and Mampintsha is turning 39 years old- if the internet is going to believed. Going back 13 years when the two started their relationship, it would mean that Babes was 14 years old and Mampintsha was a 26 year old man in the prime of his career.
But if there is one thing that Babes is not ashamed of is the tricky situation of age just being a number.  This is seen with her response to a social media user that thought they would try and get under her skin and ask her if she admits that Mampintsha is a cradle snatcher- a term used to describe older people that date children under the statutory age of consent for those kind of things.  Babes came out with guns blazing as she confirmed the shady suggestion, and went on to suggest that should you have a problem that you should call her.

The star has been really reminiscent these past few weeks, maybe it is the fact that she is about to become a wife and is looking back at the tumultuous journey she had to take to get here. One such post was of a teenage Babes dancing on the sidelines of a Big Nuz concert. Before the star became a household name, she was a backup dancer for Big Nuz. The video she shared on her Instagram revealed the humble beginnings that the musician had before being the name on most people’ tongues.
But the real question is: Where is Mampintsha? The musician has been missing-in-action since last year on social media. The last time he posted was to let us know that he is working on getting bags to ensure that his upcoming wedding to Babes Wodumo is fit for his queen. Since then, all the updates on his achievements is shared by his woman. The most recent of those is that his debut solo album, “Bhut’ Madlisa” has managed to reach 1.5 million streams on YouTube music. Shimora did not even come back to the streets to celebrate the achievements.
