There is still some bad blood between between The Simelanes and The Maphumulo/Gumede family. According to reports, Nondumiso Simelane, Babes Wodumo's older sister, does not really believe that Mandla 'Mampintsha' Maphumulo's mother Zama Gumede is really sick as they claim, and that she believes Shimora's sister is an evil person.

Nondumiso Simelane allegedly does not believe that Zama Gumede is sick because her family did not report this matter to them. She claims that all their efforts go unnoticed because of Pinky, the sister.
“If she was really sick, Pinky would call us and tell the family. Why has no one phoned us?” Nondumiso Simelane tells Zimoja. “Pinky has a big problem. She is the evil sister-in-law that nobody wants. She wanted to choose a wife for Mandla and when that didn’t happen, she made sure she made life difficult for everyone. Babes even tried to make peace with the mother-in-law, but Pinky got in the way of that. Babes sent groceries during the funeral arrangements, but she is still ungrateful. She is going around telling people we received Mandla’s life cover, but we didn’t. She is evil.”

There was also a war-of-words between the families at the mortuary a few days before Mampintsha's funeral.
In other news, Pinky told the publication that Zama Gumede has been diagnosed with TB. Just a few days ago, reports suggested that Zama Gumede was also hit with a stroke and was hospitalised. Their family pleaded with the public to assist with medical bills, to pay for her hospital stay at the Wentworth government hospital in Durban.
“We are still waiting for final tests to inform us what type of TB it is. She will be moved to a different ward, and we will know exactly what the issue is. Last week she could not walk or speak, today she looks much better. She is definitely getting better. She is eating and taking medication. We just need results so she can be able to take the correct treatment for the specific TB. We will know after receiving the new batch of blood tests,” Pinky told Zimoja.
