Yay! SABC3 has finally put us all out of our misery by confirming details about its new show.
According to the channel, Afternoon Express will be a daily 45-minute lifestyle show hosted by Top Billing presenters Jeannie D and Bonang Matheba, along with actress and author Bonnie Mbuli. The show will premiere on Monday 4 May at 16h00.
Speaking about the show, Bonang said in a statement: “I am really excited to be stepping into a new terrain with SABC3 and the opportunity to co-host with Jeannie D and Bonnie. We can promise you, it’s going to be daytime television like never before.”
Jeannie, who is also excited about this new venture, said: “This is a winning formula that keeps growing and growing.”
While this is something new for Bonnie, she also expressed that she’s thrilled to be one of the hosts. She added: “it is a great concept and there is so much to look forward to. I don't think there has ever been a more exciting time for television in S.A – I can't wait.”
Afternoon Express executive producer, Bradley van den Berg, explained that the show will give women an opportunity to interact and engage daily by “gaining many ideas from cooking, fashion, well-being and even finance – Inspiring viewers to take the courage, try something new and become their best selves.”
Catch Afternoon Express on SABC3 from Monday to Friday at 16h00. The new show is the successor to the hugely-popular 3Talk with Noeleen.
