Mzansi’s favourite IT girl, Bonang Matheba, has never been afraid to go head to head with other celebrities, be it online or in court. And after her recent cryptic tweet, fans are convinced that she is trying to start trouble with Andile Mpisane.
The footballer and rapper is currently on tour in the United States, as part of The Legendz of the Streetz tour. The opportunity will have him opening for massive international names like Rick Ross and 2Chainz – undoubtedly the opportunity of a lifetime for him.
Pictures and videos of him in New York have been doing the rounds on social media, and Mzansi has not been impressed. I mean, he is living his best life, meeting all the international legends and travelling in luxury, so part of it is jealousy. But jealousy aside, many still think he does not deserve to be on that tour because he cannot rap.
It seems like some of that footage crossed Bonang’s timeline, as she recently tweeted saying that he always looks so confused. From the tweet itself, it is not clear who she is referring to, as she has kept it intentionally vague.
But her fans have put two and two together, assisted by some Twitter algorithms, and concluded that she meant Andile.
Many of those responding immediately agree with her sentiments. Let’s just say Mzansi has never thought Andile to be in charge of his own life, and it is widely assumed that he gets his orders from his mother, Shauwn Mkhize.
Some are wondering whether he even knows he is married. As we all know, he got married about two months ago, in a surprise move. He popped up married to Tamia Louw (now Mpisane), even though he had been dating his baby momma Sithelo Shozi.
At the time, all of social media believed that his marriage was arranged for him by his mother, and that he had no choice in it. And even though MamMkhize came forth to say that she would do no such thing, her announcement convinced nobody, and they have now doubled down on that perspective. But Tamia is now pregnant with their first child, so now may be the time for Andile to be sure about his marriage (if he still isn’t).
It is unsurprising that Bonang would be unafraid to start a twitter war with Andile, or anyone else, for that matter. She just won big against one adversary, Rea Gopane, who made defamatory statements about her allegedly introducing AKA to drugs. She got the last laugh, and Mzansi loves to see it.
