According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, Buhle, who plays Zandile, has been axed from the show. It appears she did not see eye to eye with the production about her character and its storyline development.
She was then released from the role and she has been replaced as well. Actress Angela Sithole will now assume her role and she will make her debut this December on the show's new season.Buhle rose to superstardom with the role of Matshidiso on SABC 2's popular show Muvhango. She left the show four years ago after she was allegedly fired for having diva tendencies.
Buhle was allegedly rude to makeup artists. According to a Sunday World source, she also had a lot of demands and she was difficult to work with.
“She is a great actress, but her behaviour is unspeakable. She has a short temper and unpredictable outbursts. She was literally fighting with everyone on set,” said a crew member.
When she left the soapie, Buhle said she wanted to focus on greener pastures and help her music as well as acting career grow. "This is my year I am taking over everything that's mine with God on my side. I can't even tell but watch and see as Buhle Samuels flies high. They say the sky is the limit. I say I want it all the ocean and the sky. It's my time and it's my year." she said.
Following her exit, she bagged a role on Kings of Joburg. The 6-part series delves into legacy building, fragmented family structures, treacherous brotherhoods, and the effects of crime and African masculinities on families and society at large.
It stars the likes of Zolisa Xaluva, Cindy Mahlangu, Thembi Seete, Tsholofelo Matshaba, Tokollo Sebothoma, Abdul Khoza, SK Khoza, and Buhle Samuels.
Another actress who recently got fired from Imbewu is Phindile Gwala. According to City Press producers were not happy with her acting skills

“Phindile’s on-screen character was being struck off because of her craft competence. The producers have it that her talent is not what the showrunners expected out of her. However, it was revealed that the new producers were not very impressed, so they did not want to keep her," said a source.
