The 25th South African Music Awards will pay tribute to HHP who tragically passed away in October 2018 after a long battle with depression. The famed rapper was in the entertainment industry for a couple of decades and during his time in the spotlight, he made Tswana rap popular.

HHP's widow, Lerato Sengadi recently took to Instagram to announce that she will be collecting her late husband's SAMA at the prestigious event.

"I AM INSANELY PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT MOTHO WILL BE RECEIVING A LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FROM RiSA DURING THIS YEARS @thesamas_! Making him the FIRST hip hop artist to receive one and the YOUNGEST solo recipient of this prestigious recognition," she wrote. Take a look at the heartfelt post below:

Since HHP passed away, Lerato has been working hard to protect his legacy. A couple of weeks after his passing, Lerato took to Instagram to share how she is dealing with her loss. Lerato also shared that she has been crying for 89 days and is ready to celebrate her life and his legacy and it seems like she is doing just that:

"After crying for 89 consecutive days, mourning a love lost, on the 90th day I choose to celebrate a life l was blessed to be a part of 💖. One that has moulded me into the Queen I am becoming. Today I will play ur music for the first time in 90 days and sing along like I always did before. So if the tears wanna come back they’re just gonna have to wait until tomorrow because today I’m celebrating you Motho waka."
