Mbali Ngiba was one of the newly incoming housewives on The Real Housewives of Durban season three along with friend, Slee Ndlovu. Ahead of her debut on the show, little was known about the former Isibaya actress when she was first introduced to the world of the reality show. However, one fact that she made clear was that she was engaged.

Publication, The South African shared details about her fiance at the time stating:

The actress and singer is very private about her personal life, but according to Briefly she was previously linked to singer and actor Sandile “Masandi” Mfusi who plays Kwanda in Uzalo.

Currently, she is engaged to Mncedi Madolo who is an art practitioner. Madolo has appeared on two episodes of RHOD. In one of them, the couple discussed trying for a baby.

However, as throughout her season, the status of her engagement was questioned. Primarily, this was after she stopped wearing her engagement ring and would not give clear answers. As such, during the reunion part-two special, MaNgiba finally answered what was the status of her engagement.

Mbali initially suggested that she and Madolo were on a “break.” However, when asked to explain a “break” in isiZulu, she then confirmed that she was currently separated from her fiance. However, what she would not share were the circumstances that led to this decision.
Given that Mbali featured more as a guest appearance as there were calls for her not to return in the possible fourth season. It seems that her followers on Instagram are also tired of Mbali’s sideways antics on the app.

Ahead of the airing of RHODurban’s season three reunion part-two, Mbali took to Instagram to share a matter that was currently causing her ire. Written in isiZulu, but when translated read as:

“If you see me in public, please refrain from saying, “I like it when you’re doing your thing.” Please rather say, “I love your work,” instead. It is kind of hurtful to be appreciated with diminutives.”
Her since-deleted post was filled with contrary comments from her followers. One of them explained:

“Heal cc. IsiZulu leso sokuteketisa (That’s what is said in isiZulu if you are confused). Ngisho nesingisi kuyashiwo kuthiwa, “Do your thaaang boo!” Ungazibukeli phansi (Don’t ever downplay yourself). You are talented. Basuke bekuncoma (It is a compliment), nothing deep.”

Another follower added:

Ai unedrama, ke (You are so dramatic, rather) change the career vele ufike ngeshodi elibhedayo wazobona ama-hips awayo kwabanye, wazo concluder ngomabusi.”
