The petite radio personality doesn't only do it for herself but she also recognises women who are doing great in their career fields.
The DJ recently proved to be on top of her game when she honoured top KZN women at her event called, Woman the Brand Awards, held at the Durban ICC.
Zama said that the awards are more than the achievement of excellence, but they also symbolise the quest for the liberation of woman.
“It is awarded, cherished and honoured in a personal sense, it is accepted on behalf of that quest and the light of that grand purpose, it is very important to acknowledge women because they were unacknowledged for so long and I am very happy to see such events taking place today,” said Zama.
Amongst the dignitaries was African Union (AU) Chairperson, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-zuma who travelled all the way from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia where she resides.
Dr Nkosazana Dlamini -Zuma received a Life-time Achievement Award at this glittering ceremony where she was accompanied by the countries first lady, Sizakele Khumalo and her daughter Thuli Zuma.
Banyana-Banyana captain Amanda Dlamini was honoured as a woman in sports.
Other women honoured were Durban Playhouse CEO Linda Bukhosini (Arts), Professor Ranuka Vithal (Academia), SA FM journalist, Vabaksnee Chetty (media ) Bongi Shangase ( Entrepreneur ), MEC Nomusa Dube ( politics ) and Bongiwe Pityi (government ).
It was the night of mingling with the high-profile women who are heading and leading big businesses in the country.
Keeping them entertained was programme director, Joane Martin, comedian Justice Kubheka and Mondli Mzizi famous for his song Koze Kuse.
