DJ Wilson B Nkosi caused many Metro FM listeners to scratch their heads during his Sunday morning radio show, when he unleashed an indistinct, fiery rant on his haters.
The DJ, who has been involved with the radio station since its first broadcast in the late 80s, sparked speculation on social media over the weekend when he started seething during his 'Sounds and Stuff Like That' mid-morning slot.
Seemingly aimed at people who aren't fans of him or his R&B-focussed show, Nkosi during his angry outburst resolutely stated that he's not going anywhere.
According to the Sowetan, the DJ said: "Haters irritate me. To all the haters: they can go hang. I will defend myself.
"I'm still gonna be here for another 12 months, deal with it. If you attack me personally, I will fire back. Haters deal with it."
Listeners of the show took to Twitter to voice their confusion about the DJ's vague rant, which apparently lasted for about five minutes.
But even Metro FM spokesperson Happy Ngidi didn't know what DJ Wilson B was on about.
When approached for comment, she told the publication: "As the station, we cannot give a proper comment simply because we have not listened to the audio."
And a direct attempt to find out why he is so upset also yielded no fruit, as the DJ refused to comment because he believes the topic is a non-issue.
Apparently not quite as angry anymore, he said: "I'm sorry I don't want to comment because I don't think that it is a story."
