Veteran television presenter Lalla Hirayama is also leaving Channel O’s Massiv Music after spending half a decade with the music show. She made this announcement yesterday on Instagram right after her colleague Anele Zondo released an official statement also announcing her leaving the show.
Lalla who became the first presenter of the show has been working with the same production team behind the entertainment show V Entertainment on Vuzu on Massiv Music and yesterday she had to say goodbye to a work-family of over 12 years.
The presenter took to Instagram in a lengthy heartfelt caption and wrote, “Today has been a hard day. I said goodbye to family It’s been 5 years with the Massive Music family but in actual fact, it is the same team behind V-Entertainment, so naturally it has felt like somewhat of a continuation.”

The caption continued to read, “12 years together with some of this team. I can’t get over how much we’ve all grown. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the show.” She also sent love to two of her co presenters, “Anele Zondo for being such a beautiful energy on set with talent and a heart to match that beautiful exterior. To Smash Afrika You’ve always brought mad happiness and laughter with you where ever you go. I’m going to miss our Fridays together.”The Japanese - South African media personality also sent out her gratitude to the crew that makes the show happen, “ Philisa, Tebogo, Anton Cloete, Glen Van Loggerrenberg, Sphakamiso Ngonyama, Katlego Sebati, and the whole Don’t Look Down TV squad. I love you all so much. Thank you for always having my back. Lufuno Sathekge thank you sis! For 12 crazy years together through thick and thin, Dawn Margaret for all the love, encouragement, gossip, and talking shop! Here’s to growth, a new chapter, and broadening horizons for the new Massive Music show and FOR US ALL.”
Lalla has not yet mentioned where she will be taking her career next but the entertainer has managed to maintain great longevity in the media space and we will not be surprised to see her take on another major television gig in the near future.
Anele who is also leaving the show announced that she will be focusing more on her music career she has been receiving a great reception from fans and local radio stations. The two presenters are leaving behind 5FM radio DJ and TV presenter Smash Afrika at Massive Metro and the station is still yet to announce if there will be any replacements for the both of them or if Smash Afrika will continue holding the reigns all by himself at Massiv Music.Celebrity friends and fans sent their love and support to Lalla following this announcement, with stars such as TV personality Leanne Kistan-Dlamini, actress Salamina Mosese, talk show presenter, and actress Relebogile Mabotja and luxury social media influencer Kefilwe Mabote on the comment sections spreading their love.
