Adenuga has formally entered the race for Ogun State’s 2027 election, presenting his bid as a people-led drive rather than a traditional party campaign. In a statement shared with reporters on Saturday, he argued that the state’s economic promise has not yet translated into better day-to-day conditions for many residents.
He pointed to Ogun’s strategic position, a hardworking population, fertile agricultural land and a growing industrial sector, yet said persistent obstacles are holding back progress. Among the problems he cited were joblessness, weak infrastructure, unreliable electricity, limited healthcare capacity, and public projects that have been left unfinished.

In laying out his priorities, he highlighted education, healthcare and infrastructure as central areas, alongside industrial expansion, the role of traditional institutions and partnerships with communities. Education, skills and jobs
On education, Adenuga said his government would overhaul technical, vocational and digital skills training to better match the demands of the labour market. Healthcare, roads and power
Turning to healthcare and infrastructure, Adenuga promised to upgrade primary healthcare centres throughout the state. He also said his administration would prioritise roads, water systems, rural access routes and dependable power projects designed to strengthen economic activity in every part of Ogun, including all 20 local government areas.
He further pledged to position Ogun State as the most business-friendly environment in Nigeria. His approach includes lowering bureaucratic obstacles, safeguarding lawful land ownership and providing support for local manufacturers, artisans and agro-processors through incentives and improved access to opportunities.
In a concluding message, Adenuga said the moment calls for governance that listens, plans and delivers. He argued that Ogun requires leadership that is both capable and disciplined to build for the future, and he urged youths, entrepreneurs, farmers, professionals and community leaders to take part in the movement.
He ended by reiterating that the BOOT Party’s mission is to create a stronger Ogun State through collective effort and responsible leadership.
