Ambassador Ibrahim said the launch of Senator Olamilekan Adeola’s campaign headquarters underscores what he described as the lawmaker’s readiness, steadfast commitment and determination to pursue meaningful leadership ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State. The remarks, made in a statement provided to journalists on Sunday, framed the opening as a key step in the senator’s political push within the state.
Ibrahim added that placing the campaign office on the ground has helped deepen the confidence of party supporters across Ogun, describing the facility as a focal point for loyalists and other residents who, he said, share a common goal for a more prosperous Ogun State. He argued that the headquarters is not only symbolic but also intended to bring people together around the broader vision the campaign is presenting.
The ambassador pointed to Adeola’s record in elective politics, saying the senator has built a reputation over the years through what he called effective representation, legislation of substance and development efforts reaching constituents. In his view, those achievements have contributed to the trust and respect Adeola commands among many Ogun residents.
“The unveiling of this campaign office is more than the opening of a facility; it reflects preparedness, clear intent and dedication to Ogun State’s future. It signals the start of a new phase in our state’s political direction,” Ibrahim said.
He further stated that Senator Adeola has consistently demonstrated capacity, competence and compassion in his public service. Ibrahim said the senator’s history of performance, he believes, speaks for itself and that supporters are confident Adeola has the experience needed to steer Ogun to higher levels of progress.
Turning to the party’s internal campaign strategy, Ibrahim urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and supporters of the senator throughout Ogun to stay united and maintain commitment to the shared objective of winning the forthcoming governorship election. He described the moment as one that calls for unity, discipline and coordinated grassroots engagement, urging all members to remain focused on promoting what he characterised as good governance and inclusive leadership.
Ibrahim also assured Senator Adeola of continued backing from the Zee 1 for Yayi Support Group, pledging that the organisation would keep mobilising support across all 20 local government areas in Ogun State. He said the intent is to build broad-based momentum to support Adeola’s gubernatorial ambition as the election approaches.
As preparations for the 2027 contest gather speed, Ibrahim prayed for divine guidance and protection for Adeola. He expressed optimism that the campaign office will function as a strategic hub for engaging voters and advancing a program centred on sustainable development, economic expansion and better welfare for residents of Ogun State.
