Nomzamo Mbatha had us beaming with pride last week when it was announced she would be starring in the highly-anticipated sequel of Coming To America
The Mzansi actress will be making an appearance alongside the likes of Eddie Murphy, Teyana Taylor, Garcelle Beauvais and other A-listers in the Hollywood blockbuster.
But according to sources, her bold big screen move could mean the end of her time on the small screen - at least on our favourite telenova Isibaya.
Word on the street is that Nomzamo will soon be leaving the award-winning soapie for good in search of Hollywood fame.
After all she has relocated to LA several months ago to pursue her American acting dreams.
And to add fuel to the fire, Sunday World is reporting that Nomzamo's manager Pumza Nohashe has confirmed the actress's departure from the soapie, claiming it 'is only a matter of time' before we see the last of her on our TV screens.
In a surprising twist however, Isibaya director Adze Ugah has hit back claiming Nomzamo – who plays Thandeka - is still officially part of the soapie’s cast, even claiming that she has yet to hand in her resignation letter.
He told Sunday World; “I don’t know anything about Nomzamo leaving the Isibaya cast because she is still highly considered one of our own.
“As far as I know she still shoots with us but she hasn’t been shooting currently because she is out of the country. She makes sure she still comes back to shoot for her role.
Is she leaving or nah? We will have to wait and see!
