A few weeks ago Nandi opened a serious discussion on social media when she called out for free education. She also called for youth employment.
"I want to see free quality education and employment in our country. The youth is asking for a basic right, a noble one as well. To empower themselves and change their lives and the lives of their communities for good," she wrote on Instagram.
Sinazo Mazomma responded: βSouth African system is really a mess. Why would someone advocate for free education? While the government cannot even afford their own staff. They're deep in debts. if you take a look in well-developed countries like China. There's nothing for free there, people work their asses out to receive their basic needs like education. If free education is the way out, those students must serve or work for the government for free/for a minimum wage to reimburse the generosity.β
Jeniffer21970: βThe more people realize that the world is getting more and more worse each day and also the struggles of not having fees to get you to university or not having enough marks to get u into university entry or not getting that Nsfas, The pain of it all is just a lot.β
"I cannot agree more with you. The reason why black South Africans arenβt able to build and manage their wealth simply comes down to education. The level of education that is given to black and white South Africans is definitely not up to the same level and standards and access to the higher standards of education for blacks is limited to only those who can only afford it," wrote Sindz.
