However, back in 2022, there was speculation that Adele would hold a world tour and part of her tour stops would be South Africa. However, as soon as social media was hyping the news, it was quickly dismissed as fake news. As reported by the Citizen at the time:

A fan concept of Adele’s world tour date has stirred up Twitter after many people believed the award-winning singer was coming to their shores.

Now, it seems that the same concept world tour poster has reared its falsified head again and created a furore with the expectation that Adele was on her way to South Africa.

Adele is not coming to South Africa

It would seem that another Twitter user took to the timeline and reposted the same Weekends with Adele concept poster which included South Africa as part of the tour pit stops.
As such, there was excitement as local Adele fans were starting to think of ways to afford a ticket to the concert.
However, going onto her official website and social media pages, it become clear that this was fake news again and Adele is not coming to South Africa.
While she might be coming, there is a long list of international musicians and music bands setting their shores in the country this year.

The festival is set to take place at the Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria from Friday, 8 December 2023 to Sunday, 10 December 2023. Tickets are set to go on sale from Friday, 19 May 2023 via TicketPro.
