Being the good Samaritan that she always is, Boity offered to pay for the woman's rent which is due on Tuesday. The woman, @gracefullyloved, was prepared to work for the money but Boity helped her take the load off her back.
“Can someone help me pay rent? I have to pay R1800 by Tuesday. I can work for it,” pleaded the woman, to which Boity replied with, "send me your phone number."
Boity was pushed to extend a helping hand following the tragic news of Nelli Tembe's death. She advised people to be kinder towards one another especially on social media, as she too has been a victim of bullying. "The darkness on social media can be unbearably overpowering. Please let’s all choose kindness as often as possible. Please," she advised.
"Think about your worst, most painful moments. Consider how you would have wanted people to extend their warmth and kindness to you. Then do exactly that for the next person."
She sometimes helps people in need and were struggling when lockdown started. She bought electricity worth R500 for 5 families each. "I’ve been getting a lot of electricity recharge requests. I don’t know how else to do this so I’ll choose 5 meter numbers tonight and recharge each with R500," She wrote. The Wuz Dat hitmaker extended her good deed by also looking for families to donate food to.
Just recently, Boity was targeted for her overpriced alcohol beverage, BT Signature. Tweeps were shocked to learn the prices of her products and quickly called her out. Her 24 pack costs a whopping R600.
Here is how people reacted, @Huupo tweeted: “Boity called us unemployed roaches and now she expects us to buy a 24 pack of nonalcoholic drinks ka 600? Lmao what kind of drugs do these celebrities smoke?”

@Youtuber Nomaswazi tweeted: “Boity's one is coming off a bit weird. She's outpriced herself from her competitors and is selling BT at Shoprite which isn't for premium consumers. The best celebrity drink is Bonang's sparkling wine can. Fresh packaging, the drink slaps and is the same price as a sparkling wine.”
