The cast and crew of Muvhango have returned to work after production was shut down for two weeks following 10 people testing positive.

The SABC in a statement to SowetanLIVE confirmed that production on Muvhango has resumed.

“The SABC can confirm that Muvhango has resumed production and will continue to adhere to all the precautionary measures under alert level 3, as communicated by government,” Acting SABC Spokesperson, Ms Mmoni Seapolelo, said.

The statement also explained that two freelancers would be brought in to fill two key positions to maintain the schedule.

“Completing season 21 on schedule remains our top priority,” the statement continued.

Whilst Muvhango cast and crew return to work, popular SABC 1 soapie Uzalo, has had to halt production following a crew member testing positive for coronavirus.
