SABC 1’s flagship soapie Generations: The Legacyis believed to be seeking ratings as e.TV’s soapies like Scandal are hot on its heels to overtake it and become the second most-watched soapie in the country. As such, it is believed that creator Mfundi Vundla is scrabbling to make sure this does not happen.
However, the return of the pair will definitely shake things up and also see some actor (s) exiting the show. Reportedly, Mazwi Moroka who is portrayed by Musa Ngema will be leaving the show at the return of Karabo Moroka and Tau Mogale.
As such, on Friday, 21 April 2023, Mazwi finally met his end in the world of the story as he was killed when he saved his cousin Paul from his kidnapping.
In light of the funeral arrangements, the cast of the show is set to have a shakeup as it will mark the return of one of the soapie’s most beloved couple, Karabo and Tau, played by Connie Ferguson and Rapulana Seiphemo. As such, the soap has teased the first look at the return of the first half of the beloved couple.
First look at Connie Ferguson’s return to Generations
Currently, Generations: The Legacy is facing the battle on which grounds will Mazwi be buried on. As such, his body is set to arrive at the Moroka mansion in the upcoming episode. However, this is not the highlight of the episode by any means.
This is as the soapie recently took to Twitter to share that the highlight will mark the return of Connie Ferguson as Karabo Moroka.
Seeing as she might be returning alone in this episode. It is unclear when Rapulana will make his own return. However, what is known for sure is that the actor will be there for the funeral. This is as images have already been leaked of his return.
Recently, a social media user took to Twitter and shared the first images of Connie and Rapulana reprising their beloved roles as Karabo and Tau. The images confirmed that the two would make their return during an upcoming Moroka funeral taking place.
