All this was allegedly in an effort to improve the ratings of the once most-watched soapie in the country. While the verdict is still out on whether this will actually see the ratings of the soapie increase. It seems that outgoing actor, Musa Ngema, has started to tease his next upcoming role.
Generations: The Legacy’s Mazwi heading to Skeem Saam?
For the past week, Generations: The Legacy has been laying to rest the original character to the revamped soapie Mazwi Moroka, who was played by Musa Ngema since the beginning back in December 2014. Musa bid farewell to the soapie just days ago as reported at the time:
In light of his exit, the soapie shared their farewell message as reported by Sunday World with the official statement stating:“Over the years Musa has been given many story challenges that have allowed him to showcase his talent as an actor. He has done a fantastic job of portraying the character, and we are grateful for his dedication and commitment to the role and we thank him for his contribution and wish him well.”
In light of his exit, Musa Ngema also took to Twitter to bid farewell to his character and soapie sharing that:
At the time, Ngema had already suggested that he has already bagged his next acting role and was waiting for the right time to announce it. As such, it seems that he has already started to tease where his new acting home is set to be.
Recently, a tweep took to the timeline to ask whether the rumours that Musa Ngema is heading to yet another SABC 1 soapie was true. The soapie in question was none other than the hit soapie Skeem Saam. If Musa knew that this was not the case, he could have ignored the tweet.
However, it seems that Musa was in need to start creating excitement for his new venture as he commented on the post with a suggestive but open-ended reply. Moreover, when asked directly in the comments section of the post, Musa continued to tease the suggestion.
As such, it might be just a matter of time until it is confirmed that Musa Ngema jumped ship from one SABC 1 soapie to the other. As such, the question becomes which character will he be playing should he be introduced into the world of the story.
