This comes in light of the major snub that rapper K.O experienced during the ceremony. K.O had received the most nominations for the award ceremony as he had a total of seven nominations, which included the most coveted title of Song of the Year for his hit single SETE, featuring Young Stunna and Blxckie.
Unfortunately, during the festivities, K.O would come out as the biggest loser of the MMA2023 as he failed to receive even one trophy despite his seven nominations. While it seems the public was understanding as most of his possible wins were to the late rapper and friend Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

A loss that many side-eyed was his defeat for the title of Song of the Year as it went to the underdog and first for the MMAs, Gospel artist Betusile Mcinga for his uplifting spiritual hymn Ngena Noah.

While it might have come as a surprise that Betusile won Song of the Year with his gospel single Ngena Noah, after listening to the song, for those that did not know the song. It seems that the public is swayed in understanding why the single won.

Moreover, when considering that gospel is considered the biggest and most lucrative music genre to enter into in South Africa. It is no surprise that Betusile won the category as he continually asked his fans to vote on social media, unlike K.O when looking at his Instagram grid.
However, it seems that K.O is in his feelings about being snubbed during the ceremony. As such, he took to Instagram to share his response to the Song of the Year snub.

This is as he congratulated the Megacy for its sweep at the award ceremony and used the comments section to support that despite his loss, SETE remains the biggest song of  2022.
