Legendary local rapper, K.O might arguably have one of the best Hip-Hop discographies in South Africa. Not only as a solo artist. But even as one-third of the 2010s hit group TearGas.

However, it seems that following the blackballing snub he recently faced during the return of the Metro FM Music Awards 2023 for his hit 2022 single SETE, featuring Young Stunna and Blxckie. It seems K.O has been more open about feeling underrated despite his already amassed success.
A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that he had explained during a podcast:
“I’ve never done just the K.O concert back home. Where it’s like; if you walk through those doors you are solely going in there to see this man. My peers have done that. You’re talking about Cassper Nyovest, even AKA, and all those kinds of people. I’ve never done that.
As much as, yes people might say I don’t get enough flowers, to a certain degree, I’m the very reason I don’t get some of those flowers. Because I don’t give them the reason to put me on that pedestal sometimes.”
It seems that K.O has since taken the conversation over to Twitter as he recently interacted with his fans.

Following his podcast interview, it seems one of K.O’s supporters wanted to share their applause for his ongoing prolific career by making it clear that he does not need validation. In response, K.O thanked the fan.

However, this also allowed for the conversation as to why K.O might not receive the same type of support that other artists of his calibre receive in terms of fan participation like voting for him when award season comes.

As such, it was highlighted that K.O could consider interacting with his fanbase more. Similar to his fellow counterparts like Cassper Nyovest and late friend and legend Kiernan A.K.A Forbees. K.O then concerted that this might have a ring of truth, but he is already set in his ways in terms of navigating the industry…
