Songstress Kelly Khumalo continues to make news headlines following advocate Malesela Teffo’s shocking allegations against her. Teffo left tongues wagging yesterday after he claimed that Kelly allegedly fired the fatal shot that claimed the life of his then boyfriend, and baby daddy Senzo Meyiwa.
Speaking on eNCA, Kelly's legal representative Magdalene Moonsamy, said her client wants her day in court, and she wants to break her silence. Since Meyiwa was gunned down in 2014, Kelly has been facing public backlash for allegedly hiding information about her Senzo’s murder, rumours she has denied on several occasions.
Earlier yesterday, Teffo said there would be a witness who will testify in court that Kelly accidentally shot Senzo, with the revolver that allegedly came with Longwe Twala. Moonsamy has revealed how Kelly reacted to these startling accusations, which have generated much interest in the public.
Speaking on eNCA she said: "At first I didn’t want to call her as she was on set. When we spoke, her reaction was I am a mother. My child was three months old. How dare he?," she said.
Moonsamy said her client is confident and she is not shaken by the claims. She said they been intimidated on numerous occasions and its about time they act now.
"What do they want from me. It started with claims of intimidation. She then said we are going to now break the silence.
"She’s confident. Kelly is a person of high spirits you don’t get to that level without character development and building."
Las month, Moonsamy spoke in confidence that Kelly was ready to share her version of events with the public, and should she be required to testify in court she will cooperate.
"If the prosecution requires her as a witness in court, she is a witness in the matter and she is being compliant and cooperative in the matter,"

"If the prosecution requires her as a witness in court, she is a witness in the matter and she is being compliant and cooperative in the matter,"
"So if she is required to be present in court then she will be," she said.
Moonsamy has now revealed that there was no identity parade conducted to identity the 5 men who are accused of the murder. According to her, the people who were in the house on that fateful night when Senzo was killed, were not given an opportunity to identify the suspects. The five suspects say they are being used as scapegoats to protect the real masterminds behind Meyiwa's murder.
On Tuesday, Teffo alleged that Senzo had already died when they took him to hospital, but Moonsamy said her client tried to save Senzo’s life, “We will call the witness who will testify that Senzo Meyiwa died on the scene. When you say they took him to the hospital to save his life, actually, they were going to dump him at the hospital mortuary,” Teffo said.
Teffo further argued that the scene had been tampered with during the cross-examination of Sgt Thabo Mosia, the first forensic officer who went to the crime scene.
“That scene was not complete without the body of Senzo Meyiwa. I put it to you that the fact that the body of Senzo Meyiwa was removed from the scene was contamination of the scene because it was taken by the people who do not have medical training,” Teffo added.
