eTV Scandal! actress, Kgomotso Christopher revealed in 2018 that the SABC still owed her 5-year-old residuals from her time on Isidingo. Other entertainment industry practitioners such as Portia Gumede, Phil Mphela and Phathu Makwarela have weighed in on the matter.

Florence Masebe, responded, stating that the SABC should perhaps take a leaf out of eTV's book as they have a payment system in place that works. The actors also revealed that that the SABC still had not updated policies to account for revenue drawn from other income streams on various broadcasting platforms or devices.

Kgomotso Christopher has taken a comedic approach to deny ever being offered a role on the show. The actress first shared a fake report which claimed that she had failed to honour her contract, due to Ferguson Films denying to adhere to a clause she had stipulated.

The far-fetched article went as far as to allocate Kgomotso with a character and storyline and detailed that the supposed clause stipulated that the production company protect her from unfair treatment imposed on her ex.

To which she responded with, “Fake news” and a laughing face.

"I didn't shoot. I didn't have a contract and my apparent bosses Connie and Shona who fired me don't even know they even hired me in the first place. Kumnandi e Sattafrika."

In her response, she spoke about her time coming to an end with Scandal; but never mentioned anything about The Queen,
"As my last day in YV's shoes approaches, I can't help but reminisce about the thrill ride it's been to navigate this gem of a character, gifted to me by the dedicated and talented Scandal! writers. Scandal! will always hold a special place in my heart because through the efforts, talents, and love of the cast and crew."

Kgpmotso managed to find a balance between her work and parenthood. We can only wonder what other projects she is working on.
