Kgomotso studied for her Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Politics at the University of Cape Town.

Kgomotso Christopher Family
Kgomotso is married to Calvin Christopher who has been her husband for over a decade. The couple got married in 2004.
Kgomotso revealed that her husband was her varsity sweetheart as they met in her first year at a fresher's bash and have been together ever since.

“I met him in varsity, first year, first week, fresher's bash. He was an exchange student from Princeton University in the states at the time...met there, and how many years later? I’m not even counting.
They have a daughter named Larona Lehakwe Christopher and a son Lesika Liatile Chritopher.
Kgomotso expressed how challenging life can be when it comes to having a balance between her career and duties as a wife.

Kgomotso and Christopher are in a long-distance marriage since her husband has been offered a full-time job to work in Dubai. She shared that they travel to Dubai to be with her husband,

She also appeared on SOS, Backstage, and Moferefere Lenyalong. From thereon, producers were aware of her prowess as an actress and she started getting called up for upcoming projects.
Kgomotso also starred on theatre plays such as Romeo & Juliet, Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet and Dr Faustus.

In 2018, Kgomotso shocked most of her fans and the users of the network provider, MTN - after she revealed on Instagram that she is the voice behind MTN's Interactive Voice Response system. She did a live video which showed her in action as a voice-over artist.

In 2019, she starred in one of the greatest productions, Zulu Wedding which had a great reception from the viewers.
Kgomotso announced in 2020 that she will be apart of M-Net's upcoming original telenovela Legacy.
Legacy is scheduled to debut in September and features an all-star cast, former Isidingo villain Michelle Botes, Golden Horn Award winner for Best Supporting Actress Mary Anne Barlows, Anton Jeftha and Deon Lotz have been announced as part of the cast.
The actress will portray the role of Dineo, the wife of Sebastian Price who has built an upmarket investment empire and is getting ready to retire and a family member has to take his position, but who will it be?
Kgomotso Christopher Scandal Exit
Kgomotso opened up about her exit from the e.tv soapie "Scandal", in 2020. She departed from the TV show after being there for four years. The viewers of the show, who have grown to love her character on Scandal didn't take the news too well.
The name of the character she played on Scandal was Yvonne Thebe.
The actress shared a picture of herself on the set of Scandal, finally signing out. As hugs and kissing have been prohibited on many SA's TV shows, the actress was showered with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

eTV Scandal! actress, Kgomotso Christopher revealed in 2018 that the SABC still owed her 5-year-old residuals from her time on Isidingo. Other entertainment industry practitioners such as Portia Gumede, Phil Mphela and Phathu Makwarela have weighed in on the matter.
Florence Masebe, responded, stating that the SABC should perhaps take a leaf out of eTV's book as they have a payment system in place that works. The actors also revealed that that the SABC still had not updated policies to account for revenue drawn from other income streams on various broadcasting platforms or devices.
Kgomotso Christopher has taken a comedic approach to deny ever being offered a role on the show. The actress first shared a fake report which claimed that she had failed to honour her contract, due to Ferguson Films denying to adhere to a clause she had stipulated.
The far-fetched article went as far as to allocate Kgomotso with a character and storyline and detailed that the supposed clause stipulated that the production company protect her from unfair treatment imposed on her ex.
To which she responded with, “Fake news” and a laughing face.
"I didn't shoot. I didn't have a contract and my apparent bosses Connie and Shona who fired me don't even know they even hired me in the first place. Kumnandi e Sattafrika."
In her response, she spoke about her time coming to an end with Scandal; but never mentioned anything about The Queen,
