We cannot talk about controversies surrounding Jub Jub without talking about his conviction. In December 2012 the rapper was convicted of culpable homicide for the death of four children. At that time he was one of the highest selling rappers in South Africa . This incident affected his career for a season. Jub Jub nevertheless completed his sentence and returned to society a changed man with the goal of expanding his brand.

Jub Jub and baby mama drama
In 2021 media personality Jub Jub broke the internet when he made some allegations about his ex and baby mama Kelly Khumalo. Jub Jub remarked that Kelly Khumalo, with whom he has a 10 year old son, uses ‘muthi’, when he appeared on Podcast and Chill with Mac G.
Tweeps launched a vicious attack against Jub Jub for his remarks, as many found the comment distasteful, particularly in regards to his baby mama.

Jub Jub's ex Amanda Du-Pont reportedly opens criminal case against him
In 2021 Skeem Saam actress Amanda Du Pont took to Instagram to make shocking rape allegations against Jub Jub. This after the controversial Uyajola 9/9 host, had an interview on Podcast And Chill with MacG and spoke about his relationship with Amanda. Amanda claimed Jub Jub raped her and physically abused her for two years, in an emotional video.
"No, you didn’t smash me, you raped me, you forcibly opened my legs, forced me myself for two years and made me believe that there was no way out."
Amanda reportedly opened a criminal case of rape against him. According to SowetanLive a case of rape was opened at the Braxton police station on 10 February 2022.

King of comebacks!
The controversial Uyajola 9/9 host Jub Jub made a huge comeback following his suspension from the show in December 2021, after TV actress Amanda Du-Pont accused him of rape.
Sharing the news on his social media account, Jub Jub said he is back by popular demand. "Back by popular demand, I wouldn't just leave you guys like that."
He first hinted at making a return when he asked his followers if he should bring back the "casualties."
