There is simply no denying that the year 2019 has been really good to YouTube sensation, Thulasizwe Lasizwe Dambuza.
From partnering with reputable brands, to scoring a sizzling reality show, Fake Till You Make It on MTV - Lasizwe is not here to play games!
An opportunity that will likely cast the 21-year-old in a different light, has recently presented itself. Avid followers of Lasizwe will be quite excited to see him making his debut as an actor.
According to Daily Sun, Lasizwe was approached by filmmaker, Sans Moonsammy and his wife for this exciting acting opportunity. The media personality is set to breathe life into the character of Harrison. The cast has resumed shooting their scenes and the film is rumoured to be released in 2020.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Lasizwe shared the following:
“They called me and said they have a role they want me to play and they think I’d be perfect for it. So I did the screen test and I got the role.”
Lasizwe further stated that his character, the chronicles of Harrison, is a lot like him in real life - thus not experiencing any major hassles at transitioning into his on screen character.
"Harrison is similar to what I do, he is basically my everyday life. He is a character of different actors, he always changes and dresses up differently. We start shooting this month. 2020 is going to be an interesting year."
Lasizwe also made mention of the fact that although he's had a bit of acting experience with regards to his hilarious and popular skits on his YouTube channel, he is looking forward to acting on a much wider scale with ''the big dogs."
