Musa who has four wives and 10 kids, recently told his sons that they must practice polygamy in order to expand the Mseleku surname. To prove that the apple does not fall far from the tree, Mpumelelo has revealed to Daily Sun that he is considering taking his relationship with his two girlfriends to a whole new level, as he intends to finally put the ring on it.
Mpumelelo has two girlfriends named Vuyokazi Nciweni and Nompumelelo Makhanya and he recently revealed that they are in agreement of being in a polygamous marriage. Vuyokazi and Mpumelelo have a child together, and she lives in Capetown while Nompumelelo lives in Durban.
Speaking to Daily Sun, he revealed that he is saving money to pay lobola to his girlfriends and tie the knot with them. He said he does not have enough money but his father has agreed to pay a certain portion to assist him.
“For now I don’t have enough money except my inheritance which I’ll use towards lobola. Again, I cannot disclose the finer details of ilobola because these are sacred discussions between my father and myself. My mother, MaYeni, is not aware of these discussions,” said Mpumelelo.
Mpumelelo said his girlfriends would meet for the first time this December as he plans to spend Christmas with them.
“I’ve been dating these two ladies for the past two years and now I am preparing to marry them. I’ve met their families and I’ve also introduced t, them to the Mselekus. They are effectively my fiancees. This December I am planning to spend time with both of them. It’s going to be the first time they meet each other, otherwise, they talk on the phone and on WhatsApp. We actually have a group chat where all three of us talk,” he told Daily Sun.
The Mseleku family has stolen the hearts of many South Africans with their dose of drama and family dynamics. The reality show Uthando Nes'thembu always tops the Twitter trends list every time it airs. MaYeni who is Mpumelelo's mom recently disagreed with Mpumelelo taking a wife and wanting to be a husband. According to her, her concern was that Mpumelelo is too young to be a husband. This was revealed by her in the last episode of Uthando Ne'Sthembu, but she will be shocked to learn that Mpumelelo is planning on taking two wives.
Speaking to the paper, Mseleku said he is happy that Mpumelelo is getting married.
"I’ve already given Mpumelelo my blessings to go and get married. I’m actually happy that he is getting married while he’s still young. This will allow him to make more babies, raise them and grow with them.
“I wouldn’t want him to get old and start doing things because he might fail. As we speak the lobola talks are at an advanced stage and as a father I am paying part of them," he said.
On the other hand Mseleku is also planning to take a fifth wife. In the latest episode of his reality show, he told MaKhumalo that he has a gilfirnd and her surname is Khumalo. Thobile was seemingly not pleased with the idea.
