Nambitha Mpumlwana has labelled reports of her joining Generations: The Legacy as "trash". The actress, who was fired from Generations alongside 15 other cast members last year, has made it very clear that she is happy where she is.
Sunday Sun reported that Nambitha would be brought back in a "bid to save the soapie's ratings". A source told the paper: "This is part of the producers' strategy to increase the ratings of the show, since the soapie is no longer the undisputed number one when it comes to local soapie viewership."
Nambitha took to Twitter to slam these reports.
If you were duped by the fabricated story about me in the @SundaySunSA , please know that I am happily filming season 2 of #AshesToAshes.

She said she is sticking with her former cast members.
They really don't know me at all! There are 14 of us, and we stand together! @bjoselyn1

The soapie's creator, Mfundi Vundla, recently refuted claims that former Generations actress Palesa Madisakwane will be rejoining the show.
