When they South African media personalities are the quintessential example of slashers, it is clear that they were not lying. Well, the latest example to reaffirm her place in this canon is none other than one of our favorite Zulu girls; Pearl Thusi. It seems that it is official that Mama Pantha has dabbled her feet in music, and is set to feature on her first single as a vocalist. Kwala Jazzme front man and respected veteran in the music industry, Oskido let the cat out of the bag this past week.

Oskido is currently on his promotional run for the upcoming release of his new album, “Keep The Faith.” The veteran took to Instagram to announce that he is set to release his new single this coming Friday, 27 November 2020. The single is titled Une Mali, and features Kwala Jazzme’s Nokwazi, and the surprise reveal of Pearl Thusi as a credited feature on the single. The single is set to be released with a music video too, which will also feature a cameo from friend, DJ Zinhle.
It is still not clear whether the “Queen Sono” lead actress will be singing, or rapping, or she might just be talking- who knows. What we do know is that Pearl is just as nervous to see the reception of the song, as consumers are just fascinated to hear if Pearl will deliver. Pearl after having recorded the single, had taken to her Instagram stories to detail the experience of having been in studio.

The model, actor, television host and now musician spoke about how it happened. Apparently, Pearl and DJ Zinhle were in studio with Oskido. While the vibes were flowing and everyone was having fun, Oskido asked Pearl to do a little something on a beat. That little something turned into the upcoming single, and now we all need to wait to find out if the song will have that thing.

Pearl dedicated this year to exploring her creativity in various channels. More than just the music, the media personality has also taken to fine art as she dabbled in finding her inner Picasso.  While she has shared some doddles, Pearl is a fan of fine arts. This was seen as she was one of the celebrities that attended the art exhibition by internationally recognized, local fine artist Nelson Makamo.
