According to Sunday World, Riky Rick left a chilling suicide note for his wife Bianca and their children.
The alleged suicide notes read as follows:
Dear Bianca
This pain is too much. I don't want you to blame yourself for my life being unbearable. You gave me more love than I deserved. Live your life. Do not hide the light you have me every day.
I am sorry for being the one who gives up but the pain I feel is too much to deal with. The voices in my head have never gone away. I wish I was stronger, but I am not. Please forgive me. I love you.
To his son Maik: "Follow your passion my son. The world is better than you can ever imagen. I love You."
And lastly to his son Jordan: "Jordan, the best thing that ever happened in my life. You taught me so much about life. Thank you for being so good to me. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me. I love you."
A few days ago, the rapper's family opened up to Daily Sun since the passing of their son. The family's spokesperson Sheikani Makhado told the publication that Riky's mom is trying to be strong for everyone. He said the family is still trying to come to terms with Riky's death.
“There are no words to describe how we are feeling right now...Waking up knowing we had lost such a beloved family member was hard," he said.
Sheikani added: "Our brother’s wife Bianca is inconsolable. We can’t dispute the fact that we shared him with the rest of the world, and we are appreciative of the messages of support we have been getting."
Riky Rick had been suffering from depression for a while. He previously opened up to LAB LIVE, about his struggle with depression and losing his father.
“I lost my father at a time when I needed the help. I lost him at a time when I needed that voice. A lot of people don’t understand that you can never replace the voice of a father. It wasn’t like he just died, it was like 18 years, living with your dad for a year, and then going back to your mom. I love being with my mom but living with him for a year ... A child is never meant to live without his parents.”
“When he passed away, I was so angry, so upset. I was so upset, like ‘why my life? Why does my life have to turn to s**t when all the kids that I went to school with had both parents coming to see them at football games, coming to watch them at basketball games, bringing them picnic sacks? I didn’t get that and I didn’t get to see you after. I was so angry, so angry, super angry.”
