Shane Eagle is about to drop his first-ever mixtape and the tracklist is already giving people plenty of reason to be excited.
The rapper has just shared the name, cover art and track listing for his latest project and it features a host of local and international collaborators who are going to make sure everything is Way Up.
It's been an incredible two years for Shane Eagle, coinciding with the release of his debut album, Yellow, which not only went Gold but has gone a long way towards establishing itself as one of modern hip hop's most important records of the last two years. He's also dropped an EP and some high-profile singles since then and now the Eagle is ready to soar again with another upcoming release:
Dark Moon Flower.
The rapper confirmed the new record when he wrote on social media:
"Dark Moon Flower - October 16th

my gift to y’all for being patient.

This project features some of my favorite artists from all around the world. Sleepless nights spent , pre order drop on Friday"
Right off the bat, it's apparent that this record is going to be a massive one considering some of the names featuring. UK-based Nigerian artist Santi features alongside US-based Sudanese rapper Bas, US rapper theMIND, as well as local heavyweights Nasty C, Lute and more.
The excitement was evident when he shared the good news on social media and the new mixtape comes off the back of the good news that his EP, Never Grow Up has gone gold. When Shane heard the news he shared an emotional testament on social media where he wrote:
“Gold Records because all these kids stay rapping it” special thanks goes out to @clearlyitslike @shooterkhumz for helping me with these records, these are my first official gold plaques, word is they soon plat another special thank you to my real fans who really buy and stream the art we put hours into creating; thank you to the label @eagle_ent for the surprise,"
Do you think Dark Moon Flower is going to be the next Shane Eagle project to go gold?
