Actress and TV presenter Thembisa Mdoda-Nxumalo recently celebrated her wedding anniversary.
The Queen star gave a shout-out to award-winning singer Vusi Nova and The Amazing Voices SA season 2 winner the Hush SA music group for making her day extra special.

Taking to Instagram, Thembisa thanked the talented singers for their sterling performance.

She wrote: "...thank you so much to the most talented fellas on the continent. Also, can I just say, #AmazingVoicesAfrica finds talent and hones it. Look at these guys. Listen to these winners."
A few days ago, Thembisa penned a heartwarming message to her husband thanking him for the support during her difficult stay at the hospital.

Thembisa battled a long COVID for a couple of weeks, she was eventually admitted to hospital after she fell ill in April and was in and out of the Morningside and Sandton MediClinics.

In her lengthy Instagram post, Thembisa said her husband was by her side every day in hospital.

"I can’t begin to explain what it was like not being able to see my babies but seeing his face kept me going, " she shared.

"With a constant smile, a joke here and there, videos of the kids and constantly reminding me that everything will be okay. You are not only the love of my life but my peace too," she added saying she wishes that she could whisk him away on a special vacation.

Thembisa also opened up about her fight with the virus. She said it was the most frightening time for her.

"I was in hospital on and off for 2 months before spending a full month. I am thankful to the specialists that monitored me carefully, who were able to diagnose me and treat me carefully."

In her statement, she continued to share that she learned a lot from her long COVID experience. The actress also acknowledged that beating COVID is a blessing. She concluded her statement by expressing her gratitude to her family and friends for their love and support

"We have witnessed so many shocking deaths from this pandemic and I do not take it for granted that I pulled through. To be able to leave the hospital and go straight home is a blessing I do not take for granted. Thank you for all your love and prayers, you will never fully know how much they meant to me and my family," Thembisa said.
