Tributes Continue To Pour In For Luzuko Nteleko

Celebs remember the late actor

Luzuko Nteleko's death continues to send shockwaves across the country because he was a talented thespian who was just 36-years-old. This morning, news of his untimely passing broke and his sister Nomsa Nteleko confirmed it.

Even though his cause of death is still yet to be confirmed, Luzuko was said to have been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. His sister revealed this last year in a tweet which said doctors had given up on the possibility of Luzuko waking up from a coma.

"My brother Luzuko Nteleko was diagnosed with stage 4 rare brain cancer. The Dr's have given up on the possibility of him waking up from a coma. He spent 7 weeks in ICU," she revealed.

Following his death, his family released a statement where they confirm his diagnosis.

“We are deeply saddened and hurt by his passing. Luzuko was love personified; he was peace, courage and strength. He fought a good fight until he met his untimely death on June 21,” read the statement.

The actor who appeared in numerous productions such as  Ring of Lies, Zone 14, Isidingo, Keeping score, Muvhango and many others, was a gift to the South African television industry and he will be sorely missed.

The Kings Of Joburg Zolisa Xaluva wrote, "My heart is broken & shattered. A friend, a brother, a colleague; Luzuko Nteleko has passed. On-screen you were a giant; off-screen you were a humble friend. Our memories I will hold from no until the great beyond. Go well, my Friend."

Uzalo's Wiseman Mncube is also shattered, "Yoooh King. I'm lost for words after such a great fight you pulled aaah mfe2. The forever generous great smiling lion."

Phil Mphela who broke the news wrote, "Yes you were buddy.The world should remember you as one of the sweetest gentlemen on this planet. Even in your rough days, you remained positive and funny as hell. We will miss you."

The Queen actress Tembisa Mdoda said, “Each day, we lose one. Each day. He has taken a special part of the art with him. Only a few will understand. Go well mntase. #RIPLuzukoNteleko.“
