With fans awaiting Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Durban on Showmax, set to launch on the 28th of January 2022, excitement is building up to astronomical proportions. Now fans have been weighing in on their faves that they would love to see join the cast of the show, and Babes Wodumo’s name finally came up.
In the past, drama has followed the Gqom star, as she seems to always be in some sort of trouble. This is probably why her fans think that she would be a great addition to the show, since the whole Real Housewives franchise is based on drama.

Recently, entertainment blogger Musa Khawula took to Twitter with a poll to see whether or not fans would want Babes to join RHOD. There were mixed responses, but the majority thought that it would be a bad idea.

Those who voted no think that she does not have what it takes to join the show. Some think she is not classy enough to be mingling with the likes of Londie London, who just announced that she would be joining RHOD as part of her rebranding.

Others think that she is not wealthy enough for the show. Since it features rich wives, it would make no sense to have Babes on, as tweeps think that she cannot have that much money. According to them, nobody listens to Gqom anymore since the Amapiano wave swept the nation, and Babes can’t really do much else.
However, there are those who think she would be a great addition to the cast. They think she is full of drama even in her personal life, so she would certainly make the episodes way more interesting.

But the caveat is that she would probably bring too much drama, which may turn out to be detrimental to her in the long term. As it stands, she has been suspected of having some mental health issues and alcoholism, because of how every once in a while she goes on an embarrassing rant filled with vulgar language.
Babes recently caught fire after she participated in a TikTok Challenge that allows users to see what they would look like as different races. She made a video of herself transformed to Asian, and Mzansi was not happy about it. Some think that the last thing Babes needs is encouragement to go the surgical route, and trying out things like that challenge would be the first step in that direction.
It is interesting to see people’s different reasons for not wanting her on the show. But ultimately, we suppose the decision rests with her and the RHOD executives. You can’t deny it would be pretty interesting to see her in a reality show, though.
