Here's Why Baby Asante And Kairo Are Trending

Fans are divided by AKA's request

DJ Zinhle's The Unexpected which focuses on her private life, has once again managed to stir up a conversation and this time her children are being put on the spotlight. On the latest episode, Zinhle revealed that her baby daddy AKA, is willing to be a part of Asante's life and she was all for it. But Asante's dad, Murdah Bongz, is taking baby steps in making sure this whole blended family situation comes to pass.

On last Saturday's episode of the BET Africa reality show, The Era By DJ Zinhle founder made a startling revelation that she announced her pregnancy to AKA who expressed joy and eagerness to meet and be a part of Asante's life.

Seeing how Murdah is also involved in Kairo's life, it only makes sense for AKA to also have some sort of relationship with Asante, right?

“I spoke to Kiernan about the baby. He said I’m quite a rebel. ‘You have another kid, with another man’. He said "your family must think you are such a problem,” Zinhle laughed.

According to Zinhle, AKA said he feels just because he has a child with Zinhle, it kind of feels like Asante is also his child, “He said I need to know the details, so I said okay it is a girl. He said I was hoping for a boy, sit. My brother, it is not your baby and he said it kind of feels like it is my baby, I said wow, that is crazy,” she added.

“He said well obviously Bongani has a relationship with Kairo. So you guys can’t ask me not to have a relationship with this one,” she added.

Zinhle did point out that Murdah is not in a hurry for the blended family setup, “Bongani is baby steps because I won’t lie… I thought Bongani is going to be the easy one about this whole thing and I thought Kiernan would be difficult but actually it is the other way around,” said DJ Zinhle.

“Kiernan is more open to the idea of having this family but Bongani is just taking his time. He is not in a rush and I also need to respect Bongani’s wishes and how he wants to roll this whole thing out,” she said.

Now, on social media, Tweeps are discussing this, days after it aired, and they said that they do not see anything wrong with AKA wanting to be a part of Asante's life because the little girl and her daughter are sisters. So should he plan on taking Kairo out, Asante would also automatically be there because they are family at the end of the day.
In other news, Zinhle has finally opened her Durban store for Era By DJ Zinhle at the Pavillion Mall. Her best friend Nomuzi Mabena is once again holding it down for her and it looks like it is going to be a success.

Speaking of Era, Zinhle said, "It may sound crazy but 8 years ago, no one wanted to work with an ambitious DJ from Dannhauser. Even a weekly appearance on national TV didn't convince them that my brand and I were quiet worth the risk. They judged who I was at the time and couldn't see who I could become at the time," she continues.

"I had to shift my focus, I stopped looking for partnership instead I went out and looked for ownership. It wasn't as easy and powerful as I make it sound in fact I had to work harder than I ever had. There was blood sweat tears and a lot of life lessons in between," says Zinhle. "The biggest investments was in ourselves."
