Just when haters thought the latest negative publicity the Podcast And Chill with MacG team was receiving, would be the final nail to the podcast's coffin, they gained a sponsor. The team had been previously dropped by multiple sponsors because of their controversial content which is deemed offensive for some viewers.

Moja Chicken - their new sponsor - understands the rawness of the podcast and how they repeatedly stated that they would never conform to standards set by mainstream media. The team created their own platform to do things their way with no filter. Which is why their Chillers keep growing in numbers.
The podcast always trends but a lot of people drag the team for filth as they are accused of making offensive content. This lead to multiple sponsors distancing themselves from the podcast, but thankfully for the team, they just gained support from a food franchise - Moja Chicken.
Moja Chicken announced themselves as the sponsors for Monday episodes of the podcast which usually sees Sol Phenduka, MacG and The Ghost Lady talking about the week's hottest topics.
MacG has been trending since last week's celebrity edition which had American songstress Ari Lennox as their guest. The interview was shorter than usual, and as expected because it was done virtually.
Just two minutes into the interview, MacG offended Ari by asking her about her sex life. “...where are we at right now, is someone f***ing you good right now?” he asked. Ari was hesitant to answer the question and was visibly shocked. But in the end she did, “...but no, I am chilling, I am not messing with anyone.”
A few days after the episode aired, Ari put MacG on blast for not living to their promise to edit that part out, and said the team blindsided her.
"I'm just like, why was I on a call full of people? Why didn't anyone intervene? And why wasn't parts of of the interview destroyed like the team promised? Why did it happen to begin with? I just feel slow and ambushed and blind-sighted," she said.
"But fuck it! I don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me. I’m tired of the narrative. Exhausted. I’m good I promise. But as for interviews I’m not doing them anymore. There’s enough lives and interviews out there already."
After being bullied, Ari vowed to never set foot in South Africa, "This won't be a place I visit," she said. She gained support from a lot of people, but the support quickly stopped when she tweeted her latest tweets.
After going M.I.A for some time, she came back and was still fuming. She revealed she wants to be dropped from labels and just wants to be free. She said the MacG interview was the final straw for her.
But her latest tweet where she called Africans peasants, angered many. MacG had previously been sponsored by companies such as Old Mutual, Supa Bets and Studio 88.
Studio 88 gave this reason, “The Studio 88 Group stands firmly against the harmful and offensive commentary and statements made by MacG during one of his recent Podcast and Chill with MacG episodes as same goes against our core values and beliefs as a company group in SA.
