After killing Mam'Goniwe, Muzi heard through the grapevine that Castro is the one that killed Mam'Goniwe (their aunt) and then found the guy that was there when it happened. Muzi had planned that this guy was going to go to the police station and tell the police the truth.
When viewers finally thought that things were turning around and Castro would be getting what is due to him. Oh, behold, the witness decides that he does not want to be a part of the confession anymore. This sends Muzi haywire.
To the viewer's unsurprising turn of events, Castro had heard that one of his men was planning on betraying him and so he decided to do the right thing (for him) to eliminate the snitch. This witness was found and brought to Castro's house so that he can be dealt with. This is where everyone realised that for Castro to get his way and to hide his killings, he is prepared to kill. He is more dangerous than everyone had initially thought.

After knowing all of these things about Castro, Siya goes to the very same Castro and they party it up. By this time, we all know that the Castro we know will definitely set Siya up in some way or the other. He works like that.
Castro offers Siya a drink and like the trusting fool he is, he takes it without thinking twice and yep, the drink is spiked. Siya is drunk out of his mind and he wants to go home but the loving cousin of his stops him and instead offers that he sleeps in his house, after all, they share the same blood so nothing wrong there right?!
Well, this is until Siya wakes up next to a dead man with stab wounds, the very same man that Castro and his right-hand man had killed earlier on to stop Muzi from looking around and possibly getting around. Let’s note that Castro knows very well that Muzi is onto him.
When Siya starts freaking out at the gruesome discovery, Castro comes rushing in and of course, helps Siya. This is so Siya can feel indebted to him for protecting him. The big question here is, what was Siya doing at Castro’s place in the first place?
When Siya tells Muzi of last’s night events, Muzi knows that this has got Castro written all over but the good Siya does think his cousin could set him like that. He does not think that his cousin has any reason to set him up like that knowing very well that he is out on parole. Castro now has leverage against Siya and if he wants he can say that Siya killed Mam’Goniwe which is why he had to silence that other guy, which makes no sense when you really think about it.
Siya will not believe that Castro is behind all these bad things that have been happening in the Phakathwayo household because if there’s one thing we know about Siya when he loses it, he loses it. He fights for his family and he kills for his family. He kills when it’s absolutely necessary.
