The show is filled with drama that is relatable showing a contrast between the rich and the poor. The rich have a love-hate relationship with each other but they are a close-knit community and are always there for each other. The same can be seen with the not-so rich community.

The recent drama has seen Castro (played by Aubrey Poo), a cousin to the Phakathwayo brothers strangling his aunt, Goniwe Phakathwayo following a heated political debate.
Castro has been betraying the Phakathwayo family and it seems it is going to be a while before they finally catch on to the type of person he is. So far he has managed to fool everyone into thinking that he also wants the best for the family and that he will always look out for them.
He has done some pretty questionable things to further his political career and to make sure that he is not left on the sidelines just because he is a mere cousin to the mighty Phakathwayos.
He has set his dogs on Muzi (played by Sdumo Mtshali), the head of the Phakathwayos and almost killed him in the process all because he wanted Mam'Goniwe to drop out of the running to be the Premier. When Muzi survived, he was the first one to offer to help the Phakathwatos to help find who did this to his cousin.
Hardly after a week of this happening, he has killed his own aunt with his own bare hands. I mean, how does this man think?

Again this time, he has been going around crying and "trying" to make sure that whoever did this to his aunt is found. This whole time, we are looking at him like, "Uhm sir, why don't you just confess". Of course, he will not confess. He is smarter than that.
All the misfortunes that have happened in the Phakathwayo household, he is somehow involved. Remember when he set up Muzi with Gigi the supposed church girl and then had his 'girlfriend" film the whole thing and then release the video for the whole world to see.
All of this happened right after Muzi told them (Siya, Muzi's brother and Castro) that Lwandle "MaMthethwa"(played by Jo-Anne Reyneke) is expecting. A child that they have been yearning for because of the number of miscarriages they have been dealt with. Castro does not care. He just wants to see his political career thrive and he does not care who he has to get rid of on his way to the top to make this happen.

His greed is on another level. I mean I would expect him to at least not do these things he is doing to the ONLY family he seems to have left. He also seems to have been a good boy growing up, which makes you wonder when did this evil heart start. What happened to him?
We can only hope that he somehow stops betraying the people that love him and be a normal cousin.
