It was not that long ago when media personality Pearl Modiadie made headlines after she had accused her former manager at Metro FM for allegedly sexually harassing her. This news did not sit so well with Mzansi with many demanding that justice be served.
But even as the case remained in court with many expecting that Pearl would actually get a fair ruling, Mr Soglo, the accused, slapped Pearl with a countersuit claiming that her lawsuit had caused him reputational damage and loss of income.
And while it still remains unclear whether or not the case is still in court it seems Black Twitter will make sure that her case is not forgotten. This comes barely a few days after the Podcast and Chill team was put on blast following the very controversial interview with Ari Lennox.
The podcast has on several occasions been on the wrong side of Mzansi especially after many continue to claim that it allegedly promotes rape culture. And while many continue to demand that they shut it down, chillers have stood their ground saying that they will see to it that MacG and his team stay on air.

It was also during this time that it was claimed that SABC was also trying to pull down Podcast and Chill from YouTube. And in a bid to defend the podcast, tweeps decided to bring up the Pearl Modiadie case, saying that while SABC is allegedly trying it’s best to cancel the podcast, they too have a case to answer after the case against Pearl was swept under the rug.
The question on many people’s mind is, why are all the feminists so quiet about the former Zaziwa presenter’s case and are busy making shots at Podcast and Chill? Surely there are better things to focus on right?
That aside though, and even as we wait to hear any updates on Pearl’s case, it is good to see that she is continuing to soar high in as far as her career is concerned. Just the other day, she bagged a new major acting role on 1 Magic’s latest romcom, entangled. The romcom has been receiving major rave reviews since it’s premier and we love to see it.
This is Pearl’s first major acting role and fans are excited to see that she is living her life to the absolute fullest. There is no denying that our queen was made for the screens!
