Rapper Boity Thulo and actor Anton Jeftha have kept Mzansi guessing their relationship status for a while now, and they finally sealed it with their first public kiss. But they did not get the reception they would have hoped for, as fans have spelled doom on the relationship.
The two first started posting each other on social media earlier in the year. And even though they were serving major couple goals, like when they vacationed together, they completely refused to confirm whether they were a couple. In fact, they were so militant about it that Boity called Anton “bestie” in all her captions, causing confusion among their fans who were rooting for them.
In the “ultimate couple goals” move, it seems the two chose Christmas as the perfect time to go official to the world. They spent the holidays with Boity’s family, where it looks like Anton is loved and accepted already. To seal the deal, one of the videos showed the pair kissing – the first time that they have done so for the world to see.
However, the news that should have brought a lot of joy to their fans went sour quite fast, as the comments were instantly filled with people spelling doom. Some fans think that the relationship will end in tears, even though it remains unclear why they would conclude that.
Others have brought up a past conversation between Boity and beauty vlogger Mihlali Ndamase, where she said she would expect at least R450,000 in girlfriend allowance from her man every month. They have been questioning whether Anton will be able to afford such a steep stipend for the star.
It’s not all hate, though. Many have come forth with their congratulations to them. They do make quite the lovely couple, and some of their fans think so too.
It seems not to matter, though, what the fans think online. According to Boity, this was her best Christmas yet, and we don’t know about you, but we have a sneaky suspicion that Anton’s presence had something to do with it.
The rapper recently opened up about being a sangoma, saying that she had completed her training. In a recent interview with TshisaLIVE, she said she is not practicing at the moment, as her steps are guided by her ancestors. When they think she is ready to practise, she may begin her journey.

While it was refreshing to see her speak so openly and proudly about her ancestral calling, some social media users seem determined to turn it negative. As everyone reacted to the news of the couple going public, one fan reminded those who expect it to end badly that it likely wouldn’t, because she is a sangoma.
Ouch! Whatever happened to wishing people well? It is likely they would work out because they love and care about each other, not just because she is a powerful spiritual being, implying that she would have some sway over him.
Whatever the reasons for the hate, we wish the couple the best in their relationship. Love looks beautiful on them!
