The Joneses have given an update regarding their health. Minnie Dlamini-Jones had previously pleaded with the fans to pray for her and her family.
Taking to Instagram a few days ago, Minnie announced that her family has tested positive for COVID, she urged her followers to pray for them and also be safe.

She wrote: "My family and I are currently out of commission...COVID is real and this wave is hectic!!! Stay safe and keep us in your prayers!"

Minnie recently shared an update on Instagram saying her family has recovered.

" My family tested this morning for COVID and we are negative 🏾 #Blessed #Grateful Thank you for the outpour of love and support, it was war!!! 🥺 #StayHomeStaySafe ♥️" she wrote.

Celebrities such as Thembi Seete, Pearl Modiadie, and Ayanda MVP just to mention a few, took to the comments section to celebrate the great news. Others also shared their experiences.

@deekaymodikoe also said she recently recovered from the virus: “Thank God you are all ok, you can say that again it was war... I just came out of that war and I’m feeling so tired 😓 wow Covid19 is bad... guys please be safe Covid19 is a killer I nearly died.”

@9jawoman said her family is still battling with COVID and hopes to recover soon: “Eish! We are here trying to recover, too many tabs to gulp down. I'm happy for your family. Congratulations babe. Hoping for this to leave our home alone soon. 😢”
Another family that recently announced that they have contracted the virus is singer LeAnne Dlamini and her family.

She wrote: "Time for a quick little life update since I’ve been MIA on these social media streets …The Dlamini’s have Covid! This week has been a complete nightmare…. I tested positive for covid on Monday followed by positive results for Sipho, Zani, and Nosizi on Wednesday. The only negative results were Zaya and Thato! I tried so hard to keep this virus away from our family, I just don’t know how… "

She said her family is still trying to recover, she also mentioned that taking care of the kids while she is also trying to isolate has been challenging.

"We are managing our symptoms as best we can and we are all doing okay, thank God. Trying to isolate and still take care of Zaya and Thato I think has been our biggest struggle. It’s almost impossible isolating from children when all the adults have covid.

"This virus is evil. We also currently have so many family members and friends who have contracted covid this week. It’s been very taxing emotionally and physically but God has been our strength. "
