Chris passed away back in 2018 following his long battle with cancer. Speaking to TimesLive at the time, his family spokesperson Kabelo Mosito told the publication that Chris fought till his last breath.
"We knew his condition was serious but he tried his best to hide his pain. His health was declining but he was always surrounded by family and friends so it wasn't a case of doctors calling us to tell us to come to say goodbye. I think many of us knew (he was going to die) but we were just praying for some kind of miracle," Kabelo said.
Another one of our favourate ZAlebs who recently remembered her late husband is Businesswoman and actress Connie Ferguson.

" It is well my love. By God’s grace, we are okay. Continue resting in peace, my love. Till we are all reunited when it’s our time to be called. I LOVE YOU FOREVER."
Connie's daughter Lesedi also penned a sweet message to her mom wishing her love and light in the "new phase of her life," she also gifted her a book titled 'Like A Flower In The Field.'
She wrote, "Ma, I hope this book brings you closer to the amplified version of who you currently are. May its words give you serenity, courage, and wisdom in this new phase of your life," wrote Lesedi before ending the note with a simple 'I love you."
Lesedi is Connie's first-born daughter. A few weeks ago she celebrated her 29th birthday. Connie penned a heartwarming message on Instagram in celebration of Lesedi's special day. She wrote, "Every time on your birthday, my mind goes back to that night in 1992 at Baragwanath hospital. The anxiety of not knowing what to expect! The excitement of finally welcoming you to the world! I couldn’t wait to mold you in my arms, to see your little gaze looking up at me, to smell you, to kiss you! You were perfect and you still are! A gift! The light of my life! My diva! The #firstdaughter!"
