The multi-talented Themba Mabaso who is popularly known to his Big Brother Mzansi fans as The Ghost is doing big things. He went from being showered with endless gifts by his Ghost Nation fandom, to receiving funding up to R2 Million to even getting a whole house in his name from fans. Yesterday, the competition reality tv show fan favourite shared a video on his Instagram account where he was with Makoya’s finest DJ Tira in studio cooking something with Viggy and Virginia popularly known as The Qwabe Twins. The Big Brother Mzansi second runner-up is not just a tatted-up guy with a chilled yet contagious personality. He has more up his sleeves. He is a professional tattoo artist who has owned a tattoo parlor in the past which unfortunately burnt to the ground, he’s also a musician who’s tried a few times to get his music to the mainstream audience without any luck before entering the competition reality tv show Big Brother Mzansi earlier this year. He is now flexing his singing muscle with his new mentor DJ Tira.

He has been having a very good couple of weeks since his eviction at the finale of Big Brother Mzansi, from being dressed by veteran fashion designer David Tlale at the launch of Rich Housewives of Lagos to growing his social media following and fandom in such a short period and now monetizing from his talents. There certainly is no backing down for the star that is The Ghost.

He, together with The Qwabe Twins and DJ Tira have not said much about the upcoming song and collaboration other than giving a teaser online and we can, through judging from past DJ Tira produced songs that it will indeed be a radio hit. The song sounds like an original Durban hit that merges Afro-soul and Gqom. The beat is groovy while the lyrics embody a love story of a girl that needs affirmation from her love.

Themba who is also going to be co-hosting at the Afrotaiment Marquee alongside DJ Tira, Bontle Modiselle, Tbo Touch, and Naak Musiq mentioned that he will be performing this “hit song” at the Durban July in two months.

He recently did an interview with Tbo Touch on his drivetime show The TouchDown on Metro FM where he spoke about his journey on the show, the overwhelmingly healthy love and support he has been receiving from the Ghost Nation fandom, and future plans including his upcoming partnership with DJ Tira and Afrotainment and possible music in the future.

The Ghost, together with DJ Tira have also released a capsule collection of printed T-Shirts that are selling at prices ranging from R4000 - R6000 each shirt and they debut them on one of DJ Tira’s DJ gigs and the Durban Finest DJ also marketed them on his Twitter account 2 weeks ago.
